Midland (NAIA - NE): Midland University is looking to fill one Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant position. The position is expected to start as soon as possible but graduate work doesn’t begin until the fall. The position includes room, board, and tuition. Indiana State: Indiana State University is now accepting applications for the position of VOLUNTEER INTERN to contribute to the Strength and Conditioning program beginning August 10th 2015 for the Fall term. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES will include but are not limited to assisting in the successful implementation of the strength and conditioning department programs; set up and break down for daily activities, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and participation in the internship curriculum. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION will be provided, however, Interns will receive experience working in a Division 1 training environment and have the opportunity to earn recommendations for future career opportunities; including Mentorship through the CSCCa and working towards SCCC certification and/or receive college credit if applicable. The interns at Indiana State will have the opportunity to work with all 12 of our men’s and women’s athletic teams. As a staff we believe in providing our interns with the best instruction possible through weekly professional development sessions in order to enhance their strength and conditioning career opportunities along with earning professional recommendation. The level of ambition of the intern will determine the level of the learning experience. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Interns are expected to be punctual, enthusiastic, reliable, productive and consistent along with having the ability to work early mornings and late evenings. Ideal candidates should be pursuing a Master’s degree, possess a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework earning an undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCa, SCCC; USAW) is preferred. CPR/First-Aid/AED certification required. Gardner-Webb (FCS): Per source, former assistant strength & conditioning coach at Eastern Kentucky University Chris McCormick has accepted the position of Director of Strength & Conditioning position at Gardner-Webb University.

New Haven: The University of New Haven Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking qualified applicants for a graduate assistant position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: design and implementation of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams; demonstration and instruction of Olympic weightlifting techniques; supervise team workouts, individual workouts, and open hours; assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Qualifications: (Required) - Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into graduate school. (Preferred) - CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR and First Aid certifications; previous strength and conditioning experience in a collegiate setting; experience in designing and implementing workout programs. Compensation: Full Tuition and a stipend. Start date: August 1, 2015. Florida Atlantic: The Florida Atlantic University Strength & Conditioning department is accepting applications for the position of Volunteer Intern for the Fall 2015 semester (August 17th – December 11th). Compensation: Division I Intercollegiate experience; an earned recommendation toward further success as a Strength & Conditioning Coach; as well as college credit toward graduation, if applicable. Please be aware that there will be NO monetary compensation, nor housing offered for this position. Duties will include, but are not limited to: assisting staff in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for all FAU sports; set up, and breakdown of training equipment; as well as assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Minimum Qualifications: Strong work ethic, and highly motivated; preferred candidates are to be in a Bachelor’s degree program geared towards Exercise Physiology or a related field; experience in a college strength & conditioning setting. Preferred Qualifications: Working towards a Graduate’s degree in a program geared toward Exercise Physiology or a related field; working towards a nationally-accredited strength & conditioning certification (SCCC, CSCS, USAW, etc.); knowledge/experience working with Microsoft Excel.
