Arkansas Tech: Arkansas Tech University is accepting applications for a full-time Head Strength and Conditioning coach. The coach will be responsible for developing a systematic exercise prescription training program for both teams and individual athletes, for each of the 10 athletic programs at Tech. A BA is required, along with being a certified member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Preferred qualifications include collegiate work background and administrative experience. This is a 12 month full time position with no class room responsibilities. Delaware: Per source, Elon head strength coach Ted Perlak has accepted the same role at the University of Delaware.

Kennesaw State: Ellis Spratlin has been hired as a strength and conditioning grad assistant. Ellis previously interned with the Iowa State and Valdosta State strength and conditioning programs.

Texas A&M Commerce: Texas A&M University-Commerce is currently accepting applications for 2 volunteer strength and conditioning interns for Fall semester 2014. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic and be highly motivated to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. Responsibilities include assist in supervision of all student athletes, help enforce facility policies and rules, maintain a neat and clean facility for use by varsity student athletes, assist in spotting of heavy lifts and teaching proper exercise technique when necessary, assist in testing of athletes, help monitor the training of injured athletes, perform other duties as assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. Kennesaw State: The Kennesaw State University Football Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Intern for Football for the fall 2014 semester. The Kennesaw State staff is looking for highly motivated, hungry, aspiring strength coaches that want to work at the collegiate level. The program is beneficial for undergraduate students and the post bachelor professional looking for experience; as well as develops characteristics necessary to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Responsibilities will include but is not limited to: Assistance with the coaching of D1 FCS Football players, facility maintenance, completion of designated assignments & mandatory staff training. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. No monetary compensation will be provided. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and a certification from one of the following: CSCS; SCCC; USAW but are not required.
