Western Kentucky: Western Kentucky University, a proud member of C-USA, is looking for volunteer interns for the Spring 2015 Semester. This is an UNPAID position. DURATION: January 5th, 2015 - May 1st, 2015. RESPONSIBILITIES: Under direction of the Assistant Director for Strength and Conditioning intern will assist staff with the implementation of strength & conditioning programs for Western Kentucky Football. Interns are expected to perform a variety of tasks that include: weight room/equipment up-keep and maintenance, pre-workout set-up, post-workout clean-up, supplement provision, research to enhance personal development and field related projects. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be completing or have completed a degree in Exercise Science or a related field, current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification and ideally will have or be pursuing a USAW, CSCCa or CSCS certification. Buffalo State: Buffalo State strength and conditioning department is accepting applications for the Spring 2015 Strength and Conditioning Internship Program. There will be 2-3 positions available. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Potential Candidates: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least one of the following Certifications must be completed or in progress: CSCS, SCCC, USAW. Candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character, demonstrate effective organization and communication skills and must have a strong willingness to learn and must be a self-starter.
