Murray State: Murray State University, is seeking qualified applicants for a (2) Interns / Volunteer Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach with Murray State at University Athletics for the 2012-2013 season. This is a 9 month, volunteer position that will begin on August 12 and end May 4(semester internships also available). Internships are currently available for the 2012-2013 school year for graduate students or graduating seniorsThe Intern / Volunteer Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist the strength and conditioning staff in implementing and supervising programs for 16 Varsity teams.Position Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting the Strength & Conditioning staff with the implementation of strength and conditioning, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility and nutritional programs; monitoring the S&C facilities and aiding the S&C staff in various aspects of coaching, testing and evaluation; assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of the weight room; responsible for strength and conditioning programs which elicit safe and correct execution of exercise technique performance. Interns are expected to stay for the entire duration of the internships unless other arrangements have been made. Applicants that require internship for completion of a degree are preferred. Qualifications: CSCS, SCCC, or USAW Certification preferred. Experience in collegiate strength and conditioning preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related field required. Completed or working towards a Master’s Degree in Exercise science, Physical Education or related field preferred.
