University of South Florida: Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for the Fall Semester of 2011 Athletic Performance Interns. Intern responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of USF’s Division I intercollegiate athletic programs including football and other teams as assigned; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Intern qualifications must include: Strong work ethic; Desire to learn; Enthusiasm; Desire to become a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field; eligible to sit for the CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification. Compensation: There is no monetary compensation provided. However, the position offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as the fulfillment of credit hours toward a program degree. Iowa: Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in exercise science or a related field. Experience in a collegiate setting, and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level. Certification or working towards certifications with the NSCA-CSCS, CSCCA, and/or USAW. Compensation: This is an unpaid position working with Olympic sports. Class credit toward graduation requirements from your current institution, athletic apparel when available, the opportunity to learn from four experienced full time strength and conditioning coaches, and the potential to earn future recommendations.
