Fresno State: FresnoState Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER INTERN for the Summer of 2012. Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and football field for conditioning workouts; daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room and all of its equipment; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. Preferred Qualifications: pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in exercise science; athletic training or a related field; working towards a certification with the NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa; collegiate coaching and playing experience. Interns MUST be CPR / AED certified. William Penn: William Penn Strength & Conditioning is currently accepting applications for a graduate assistantship for summer / fall of 2012. The candidate will receive a graduate tuition waiver as well as monthly stipend and / or housing. This position is not benefit eligible. Position Summary: The Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will report to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and will provide expertise, guidance, and training in the area of strength training and physical conditioning for all and / or assigned student-athletes and sports teams at William Penn University. Essential Responsibilities: Assist with all aspects of the day-to-day operations, layout, supervision and safety of the Randleman Fitness Center, Maintain the Ron Randleman Fitness Center including day-to-day cleaning , Maintain up-to-date records of each assigned team and specific individual workouts of assigned student-athletes, Assist with supervision of volunteer assistant coaches and student interns, Assist an / or lead instruction of academic courses as needed by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Additional duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Required Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field, NSCA (CSCS) and/or CSCCa (SCCC) certified or working toward certification, Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel, Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, Practical experience coaching within the college strength and conditioning field and / or experience as collegiate student-athlete, Review of applications begins immediately and will remain open until filled.
