Cincinnati: The University of Cincinnati Football Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for (2) Unpaid Strength and Conditioning Internship positions for Spring 2012. All applicants must be highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic that want to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. This internship will provide the opportunity to gain experience in coaching, motivating athletes, and program design by working hands on in a Division 1 College Football Program. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting with the supervision and training of the Cincinnati Bearcat Football Players while also assisting with assigned duties. Memphis: The Football Strength and Conditioning Department is searching for hard-working candidates for a Spring Internship opportunity working primarily with football. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assist Football Strength and Conditioning Staff in all facets of implementation of training programs, aid in the instruction of safe and proper weight training techniques, and assist in the regular maintenance and upkeep of the facility. This is an unpaid position (IF THIS IS NOT AN ECONOMICALLY VIABLE OPTION FOR YOU THEN PLEASE DO NOT APPLY) in which the potential candidate(s) may receive class credit if applicable and will gain valuable collegiate level work experience and exposure through various training modalities centered around vertical integration, Bod Pod assessment, Polar Team2 Heart Rate System usage, orthopedic assessment, nutrition insight, and sport massage.
