Pepperdine: Pepperdine University is seeking qualified applicants for a paid part-time Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Fall 2014 semester, starting August 1st. There is opportunity for this position to be extended into the Spring 2015 semester. This position is for a paid 25 hours a week, though the applicant must be available to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the strength and conditioning department. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related program. NSCA-CSCS, CPR & AED Certified. Prior experience at the collegiate level or playing at the collegiate level preferred, but not required. Essential job functions for the position include, but are not limited to: Assisting the Director and assistant strength and conditioning coaches in developing and implementing strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs for the University’s intercollegiate athletic teams; Designing and implementing programs for assigned teams; Assessing student-athletes' physical attributes to improve athletic performance; Maintaining weight room and equipment; Input of testing data and daily/weekly updating of speed, strength, and conditioning workouts; Provide discipline and motivation to student-athletes to excel and improve; Performing miscellaneous related duties when necessary.
