Arkansas State: The Athletic Performance Staff at Arkansas State University is finalizing their summer internship positions. After interviewing and selecting several highly qualified individuals, there is one position remaining. The ASTATE Athletic Performance staff is looking for one iron eating, bar bending, protein shake slamming beast to assist with the implementation of summer lifting. Qualified candidates will be capable of superhuman feats of strength. Murray State: Murray State University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER COACHES/INTERNS for the 2018 summer. You will be involved in the year round programming and implantation for football and Olympic sports. You will be involved in every process of a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. You will also be asked to be responsible for coaching your own group in the weight room with football. Hands on experience daily with multiple student athletes. Other daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs, working and maintaining our nutrition program, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the workplace day in and day out, assisting in creating the best and most productive training environment for our student athletes, and assist in creating a competitive training atmosphere. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or a related field of study. Candidates must also have a desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. Certification from one or more of the following (CSCCa, NSCA, USAW) are preferred. South Alabama:The University of South Alabama Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for football interns for Summer 2018. This position offers Division I experience, training and the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include: assist the Football Strength andConditioning staff in the supervision and training of the South Alabama football program; assist with daily cleaning and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout and spotting athletes. Minimum Qualifications: must have a strong work-ethic, passion for the strength and conditioningfield and a desire to develop the characteristics necessary to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification.
