UNC Charlotte: The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is currently seeking highly motivated candidates for the position of Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Fall of 2016. The dates of the internship will be from approximately August 15th , 2016 until December 16th, 2016. This is an unpaid position; however, the COMPENSATION of this experience is as follows but not limited to: experience working with Division 1 athletes (every team except football and baseball), professional development opportunities, daily learning opportunities, resources and assistance in preparing for major certifications such as the CSCS, and professional references for future opportunities in the field. RESPONSIBILITIES are as follows but not limited to: assist strength and conditioning coaches in program implementation of each sport, design and implementation of individual workouts (when given the opportunity), set up prior to and break down following workouts, and routine organization/cleaning of the weight room. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS are as follows: open availability, strong work ethic, reliability, desire to become a strength and conditioning coach, desire to learn and be challenged, and daily positive attitude. Murray State (FCS - KY): Murray State University, is seeking qualified applicants for Intern / Volunteer Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coaches with Murray State University Athletics for the 2016-2017 season. This is a volunteer position that will begin in August or September and end in May (semester internships also available). There may be opportunities to make income through camps, clinics and also on-campus jobs. Internships are currently available for the 2016-2017 school year for graduate students or graduating seniors. The Intern / Volunteer Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist the strength and conditioning staff in implementing and supervising programs for 16 Varsity teams (Including Football). Position Responsibilities: Interns are expected to stay for the entire duration of the internships unless other arrangements have been made. Marquette: Marquette is looking to hire sports performance coach interns. No monetary compensation will be provided. Class credit towards graduation with prior approval. Potential coaches should be highly motivated with a strong desire to work in a fast paced and competitive Division I environment. Successful candidates should have prior weight room experience in collegiate or professional athletics. Additionally, candidates should be working towards completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree and have a strong desire to gain experience in the field of sports performance.
