Missouri Southern State University: an NCAA Division II program part of the MIAA conference located in Joplin, Mo, is currently accepting applications for a full-time internship. RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in overall direction and coordination of strength and conditioning programs for 14 varsity sports. Coordinating with coaching staff of assigned teams to design and implement safe and effective programs. Assist in the every day operations of facility. Applicants must have strong knowledge of teaching technique of Olympic style lifting exercises. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required in appropriate field. Must have at least 1 year experience in a collegiate athletic setting. Committed to the profession of strength and conditioning a must. Experience with computers preferred. Previous experience in strength and conditioning preferred. COMPENSATION: $16,000 for a 12 month contract. START DATE: August 1st 2008.
