Midwestern State University: Located in Wichita Falls, TX is a NCAA Division II University in the Lone Star Conference is seeking qualified applicants for a graduate assistant position for Strength & Conditioning. POSITION TO BE FILLED IMMEDIATELY! Compensation: This is a paid position with tuition benefits. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required, and acceptance into the graduate program. Practical knowledge of exercise technique instruction is preferred. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills are a must. Knowledge of conjugate periodization training is a plus. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of independence and confidence when working with student athletes. The candidate must have genuine interest in pursuing a career in strength and conditioning and a willingness to learn. This position requires a person with a high level of discipline and a commitment through the end of the internship. This position reports directly to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. The daily responsibilities will include: 1. Assist with supervision and execution of strength training programs; for assigned teams. 2. Teaching student athletes proper lifting techniques and equipment use. 3. Working individually with some of the Olympic sports as well as football. 4. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities. 5. Additional duties as assigned by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
