University of Minnesota: Department of Strength & Conditioning is currently accepting applications for intern positions for the 2009 Spring Semester. Successful candidates responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the strength and conditioning coaches with the implementation and evaluation of sport-specific strength, speed, and agility programs. Additional responsibilities include: weight room supervision, daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment, and any other duties as assigned by the strength and conditioning coach. Opportunity to Earn CEU' s through NSCA Sponsored Events at the University of Minnesota. Intern qualifications include: Strong work ethic; Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Desire to further one' s career in the strength and conditioning field. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a bachelor' s degree in exercise science or related field; CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification.This is an unpaid internship. Interns will receive experience working with a Big 10 strength and conditioning program for more than 20 Olympic Sport Teams, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable.
