University of Memphis: The University of Memphis is seeking a Graduate Assistant in Strength and Conditioning to work with designated teams. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to; design and implement specific strength & conditioning programs for assigned teams; supervise both individual and team workouts; maintain team and individual records; implementation, demonstration and instruction of Olympic weightlifting techniques; provide appropriate maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and the weight room; motivate both small and large groups of student-athletes; passion for the strength and conditioning field. Requirements: USAW certification, current CPR certification, previous experience in designing and implementing programs for all sports, experience working with athletic teams, collegiate experience as an intern preferred. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification (CSCS) preferred. Tuition and monthly stipend will be rewarded to the successful applicant. Start date: January 2009.
