Wayne State: Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach - Wayne State University Detroit, MI. Position will be primarily responsible to assist in the overall coordination, direction and operation of a NCAA strength and conditioning program for men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams. Candidate will be responsible for assisting in designing, instructing and supervising proper techniques of sport specific weight training, aerobic/anaerobic conditioning, strength improvement, speed improvement, nutritional education, testing and evaluation protocol and flexibility programs according to pre-season, in-season and off-season schedules. Candidates will work in conjunction with the athletic training staff and team physicians in regard to effective rehabilitation and treatment programs for injured student-athletes. Candidate will assist in the training and supervision of student interns and volunteers. Candidate will assist in creating and maintaining proper records and databases; and oversee the operations and maintenance of all equipment. Other duties as assigned Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education or related area required. Certification with CSCCa or NSCA required. Additional certification with USAW or NSPA preferred. Experience in working with diversified groups of athletes, both male and female. Must be well-versed in a variety of training methodologies.
