Texas A&M - Kingsville: Incumbent manages all phases of the strength and conditioning and personal training programs for the Athletics and Campus Recreation and Fitness Departments. Coach reports to both department directors in conducting duties and responsibilities. Position interfaces with student employees; student, faculty/ staff clients, and student athletes. Position entails the provision of Campus Recreation and Fitness personal training services to university students, faculty, and staff plus supervision of the facilities. Athletic Department. 1. Strict adherence to establish NCAA, Lone Star Conference, Texas A&M University-Kingsville and University System rules and regulations. A violation of these rules and regulations can lead to disciplinary action including termination. 2. Responsible for managing all phases of the strength and conditioning program. 3. Provide expertise, guidance, and training in the area of strength training and physical conditioning for all student athletes and sport teams at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. 4. Coordinate the strength and conditioning program by designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs, regularly testing the student athletes to determine the effectiveness of the programs and maintaining accurate records of student athlete's progress. 5. Responsible for the scheduling and daily upkeep of all strength and conditioning facilities. 6. Report the progress of all student athletes' progress to the respective head coach. 7. Responsible for the upper supervision of student athlete's to ensure that all student athletes receive proper instruction on the safe usage of weight and machines and free weights. 8. Maintain accurate records of student athlete's progress within the strength and conditioning program. 9. Other duties assigned by the Athletic Director. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. Exercise Science, athletic training, physical therapy or related field from a regionally accredited institution or university. 2 years previous related experience at the collegiate level. Certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA_CSCS). Member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Athletic training and / or physical therapy certification or related certification. Current first aid, CPR, and AED certification required. Knowledge in nutrition, nutrition counseling. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications Apply @
