The University of North Texas: Strength and Conditioning Department is looking to fill Internship positions for the Summer 2010 and/or Fall 2010. The responsibilities for this internship position include: 1.) Assist coaches in the training of all UNT athletes. 2.) Perform daily maintenance of weight room and equipment. 3.) Educational projects will be given weekly. Preferred qualifications for this position include: completed or currently pursuing Master's Degree in Exercise Science; prior experience in strength and conditioning setting; and playing experience in collegiate athletics. CSCS, CSCCa, USAW and/or CPR certification is recommended. All applicants must have a strong aspiration to become a full-time strength and conditioning coach. This is an unpaid position. North Dakota State University: Fargo, ND. Description: North Dakota State University is currently accepting applications for summer internships. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific strength, speed, agility, flexibility and conditioning programs for all sports. After becoming familiar with the techniques taught by the coaches, the intern will assist in teaching proper technique in all aspects of the athletes' strength and conditioning program. Additional responsibilities will include weight room supervision, daily upkeep, and maintenance of equipment and other duties as assigned by the Strength & Conditioning Coach. Compensation: Potential interns will acquire valuable experience and knowledge while being a positive asset to NDSU and its student-athletes. Upon successful completion of this internship, one should posses and demonstrate the required abilities to advance in the field of Strength and Conditioning. This is a paid internship, $1,500 from May 19 - August 6th 2010.
