Northwestern: We are hearing that University of Georgia assistant strength coach Michael Schweigert has joined the Northwestern strength & conditioning staff.
University of Wisconsin - Whitewater: Strength & Conditioning Internship for 2010-11 Academic year (Sept. - May). This is a paid internship which includes a $5000 stipend. Duties: Assist S & C coordinator with all aspects of training for all varsity sports. Provide leadership and instruction in the athletic development of student athletes to include skill analysis, teach proper technique and adapt workouts to match each sports specific need. Provide encouragement, motivate, and give feedback to student athletes to ensure maximum development of athletic potential. Job Requirments: Strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Excellent work ethic. Ability to adapt to schedule changes. CPR/First Aid certified. Desired Skills: Knowledge and experience in all areas of strength training including Olympic style lifting as well as speed, agility, plyometric, flexibility and conditioning methods. Working towards an undergrad/grad degree in Exercise Science or related field. Currently certified or working towards certification from nationally known organization.
