Northwestern State University: Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Intern during the Fall ’10 and Spring ’11 semesters. NSU is a proud member of the Southland Conference and sponsors 14 NCAA teams. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Assisting with the implementation of Strength and Conditioning programs, administrative duties, facility maintenance, performance testing, coordinating teams and programs, nutritional supplementation and supervision of weight room. Preferred qualifications for the position include: Bachelors degree in exercise science or related field; Prior experience in Strength and Conditioning setting; experience in intercollegiate athletics; CSCS, USAW, or SCCC certification is recommended. All applicants must have a strong desire to further their career in Strength and Conditioning. This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to earn college credit.
