Louisiana-Lafayette: The University of Louisiana Athletics Department is seeking a qualified Athletic Performance Assistant for Basketball. This position will report directly to the Director of Athletic Performance for Basketball. The Athletic Performance Assistant for Basketball is responsible for assisting with the development of performance programming for assigned sports in accordance with the Athletic Performance Department and NCAA regulations. Qualifications: Excellent communication, organizational, teaching, public relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills; Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others; commitment to working with multi- cultural populations; Have strong work ethic and be of high character principle; Bachelor’s degree required; Some collegiate athletic/sports performance or comparable experience and/or Graduate Assistant experience is preferred; Certification by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association or National Strength and Conditioning Association; Current CPR/AED and first aid certification. Northwestern State (FCS - LA): Northwestern State University is seeking a graduate assistant coach for strength and conditioning starting immediately this fall 2019. This position is responsible for assisting in all aspects for strength and condition for football as well as programing for two other assigned teams (Soccer & Men’s Basketball). This position also entails teaching a class in the Health and Human Performance center and others duties assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Qualifications: (required) – Bachelor’s degree, previous strength and conditioning experience, strong work ethic; CPR/ AED certification. Currently possess Certification through NSCA or CSCCa. You will Receive a meals at the cafeteria and also a 12,000 stipend that may be used for Tuition OR living expenses. If this is not feasible for you do not apply.
