New Mexico State: NMSU is looking to hire an assistant strength and conditioning coach. This is a salaried position starting at $40k. Duties: Supervises, directs, delegates and evaluates work of assigned staff. Emphasizes nutrition and proper conditioning. Assists in design and demonstrates daily workouts for all athletes. Directs all athletes, both men and women, to their full potential by applied scientific principles. Works with the head trainer on rehabilitation of injured athletes. Cleans, repairs and does daily maintenance of all equipment to maintain a safe working conditioning environment. Instructs and trains the graduate assistants. Networks with other centers on programs and latest equipment. Responds to complaints and grievances. Instructs and trains in methods and procedures. Delta State: Delta State University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Volunteer Interns for the 2019-2020 semester. This internship will conclude at the end of the 2019-2020 semester. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for all 13 Delta State University Varsity sports, including football. Set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of the internship curriculum. Qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree, and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. All applicants must have an accredited certification (CSCS, SCCC, or USAW). Applications will be taken until the positions are filled. Louisiana Tech University: Louisiana Tech Basketball Strength and Conditioning is currently seeking applicants for ONE PAID INTERNSHIP beginningIMMEDIATELY. Qualified candidates would work with the Basketball Strength and Conditioning Department and be responsible for 3-4 teams while assisting with both Men’s and Women’s Basketball Programs. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in related field, CPR and AED Certifications, and a nationally recognized certification (CSCS, SCCC). It is preferred that applicants have a Master’s Degree, experience programming, an unwavering work ethic, effective communication and leadership skills in a group setting. Previous coaching experience, and proficiency with computer applications also necessary. Salary for this position is $1,000 a month. Santa Clara: Santa Clara University Sports Performance is currently seeking applicants for 1 volunteer UNPAID Sports Performance internship for the Fall Semester 2019. This is a special opportunity, as interns will have the opportunity to earn a PAID Assistant Position on the Sports Performance Staff. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing 1-2 sports under the direction of the full-time staff, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance, cleaning of the weight room and completion of the internship curriculum. Candidates will also assist with the training of Men's and Women's Basketball as well as other sports assigned by the Assistant AD for Sports Performance and the Director of Sports Performance. Compensation will include Nike Gear as well as learning from a CSCCa approved mentor. Qualifications: Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Exercise Science or related field and a strong desire to become a Collegiate/Professional Strength & Conditioning Coach. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a collegiate athlete and currently pursuing or possessing SCCC, USAW, NSCA, or CSCS certification(s).
