Robert Morris (FCS - PA): Robert Morris University is currently seeking ONE qualified apprenticeship candidate for the 2020 spring semester. The chosen candidate will receive financial reimbursement for the all CSCCa-SCCC costs. Chosen candidate must complete the required 640 hours for the CSCCa – SCCC under the mentorship of Head Strength Coach. The strength and conditioning program will run from January, 13, 2020 (Start date flexible) to May 1, 2020. The daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Program design and implementation all aspects of the golf program as well as assisting with all aspects of the football program. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, Professional development throughout the semester, any other tasks assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Apprentices will gain hands on coaching experience in a collegiate setting, education in program design and application, have the potential to earn future recommendations for career opportunities, receive college credit if applicable. The apprenticeship program’s goal is to advance the apprentice’s future in the strength and conditioning profession. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, First Aid, CPR & AED certified, Strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm, Effective communication skills, Desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. Preferred Qualifications: Pursuing or have attained the CSCS or USAW, Pursuing or have attained a master’s degree in exercise science or related field, Previous coaching experience in a collegiate, professional, high school or private sector setting, Competitive collegiate involvement. It is strongly advised that all potential candidates make sure that this apprenticeship is economically feasible before applying.
