Houston: The University of Houston Strength and Conditioning staff is looking for strength and conditioning interns for the Winter/Spring 2017 semester. Candidates will be working primarily with football, along with assisting the other sports that they are assigned. This is an unpaid internship, but is an excellent opportunity to gain Division 1 collegiate experience. Daily responsibilities will vary with experience level. Preferred qualifications: CSCS certification or working towards it, CPR certification, Bachelor's or pursing Bachelor's degree, previous collegiate experience. Temple: The Temple University Football Strength and Conditioning Staff is looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for the Winter/Spring 2017 semester. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Temple University’s football program, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties and other duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is an unpaid internship. However, candidates will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, college credit towards graduation if applicable and be involved in the CSCCa mentorship program necessary to achieve the SCCC certification. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. Experience in a Strength and Conditioning Program or having previous collegiate athletics experience is preferred. Having a background in performing and coaching Olympic lifts is preferred.
