James Madison: JMU Football, is seeking 1-2 qualified candidates for unpaid internship positions for SUMMER 2023. Dates Run from 5/31 - 6/26. Assisting with the implementation of GPS data collection and interpretation, nutrition oversight, setting up and breaking down equipment for team workouts, and attending to daily maintenance and upkeep of the Plecker Athletic Performance Center. Minimum requirements include: a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Only apply if this internship is logistically feasible for you. No Housing, food or monetary compensation will be provided. Only apply if you wish to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. This position will provide interns with valuable practical experience, networking and professional development opportunities, and college credit, if applicable. Abilene Christian (FCS - TX): Abilene Christian University Football Strength and Conditioning is accepting internship applicants for Summer 2023. This internship is designed for individuals who want to become collegiate strength coaches. This is an unpaid volunteer position. Duties include: Set up and breakdown of the weight room, equipment maintenance, stocking supplements, upkeep of our nutrition station and general support of the daily operations of the program. Interns will have the opportunity to be involved with our on-field and weight room testing. Interns will go through a comprehensive learning experience which will cover basic S&C principles, programming, networking and most importantly, coaching. Applicants must be pursing or have completed Bachelors in Exercise Science or a related field. Applicants should be working toward CSCS / SCCC certification as well. Purdue-Fort Wayne: Purdue Fort Wayne Athletics has an opening for a staff Graduate Assistant in the Strength and Conditioning/Sports Performance Department. This position is responsible for designing, implementing and supervising the sports performance plan of their assigned teams. This position includes participation in personal and professional development initiatives available to the department. An important aspect of the day-to-day work environment will be coordination and collaboration with Sports Medicine staff to safely adjust workouts for injured student-athletes. Additional tasks include: assisting in the cleaning, maintenance, scheduling, and operation of the sports performance facility.
