Bowling Green: Bowling Green State University is now looking to hire a paid intern for the Strength and Conditioning program. This position is responsible for assisting the Director and Assistant Director of strength and conditioning with the daily activities and operation of a collegiate strength and conditioning facility. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting in supervision of strength and conditioning programs, development and implementation of strength and conditioning programs, communication with head coaches of assigned sports, proper movement preparation, set-up and tear down of equipment before and after training sessions, cleanliness/organization of nutrition bar and facility, etc. This position will be given direct responsibility of a number of assigned teams with the possible opportunity to work with the football program. Qualifications for this position include certifications from one or both of the following NSCA, CSCS and/or CSCCa, SCCC. Compensation will be $11,000 over a 12-month period starting after the candidate is selected and arrives on campus. This position is designed to to equip recipients of this position to continue their path in strength and conditioning, and prepare individuals to become a successful full-time coach at any level. Woodland HS (GA): Woodland High School, in Cartersville Georgia, is looking for a certified strength and conditioning coach. This will be a 236 day contract and no after school coaching duties. Applicants need to have at least one certification (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW), and have a valid Georgia teaching certificate. Syracuse: Syracuse University Department of Athletic Performance for Football is accepting applications for a VOLUNTEER Intern Strength and Conditioning coach position for the Summer 2020 semester. This is an UNPAID volunteer position, but academic credits can be applied towards an Exercise Science or related degree program if applicable. The main responsibilities of this position will include: involvement in the supervision of safety during training sessions, assisting with daily administrative, maintenance items, and operations for Football. This position will provide: valuable practical experience working with Division 1 collegiate football student-athletes and coaches, an extensive professional development program, CSCS / SCCC prep, and multiple opportunities to expand network connections within the profession. Qualifications: Seeking a college degree or completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and current CPR certification. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in an exercise related field and CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification. Evidence of project completion, consistent attention to detail, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment will be highly considered. All employees must comply fully with all NCAA, ACC (or other conference) and Syracuse University rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
