Rutgers: The Rutgers University Football Strength and Conditioning Program is seeking one highly qualified and motivated individual to fill a paid intern position. This position will begin ASAP once a hire is made. The position is a 10-month position paying $3000. The main duties for this position include: Assisting the strength and conditioning staff in supervising the safety of the student athletes, daily and weekly maintenance and upkeep of the strength and conditioning facility, assisting the sports nutrition staff, daily break down and set up of all strength and conditioning related sessions, and any other administrative duties relating to the football program. This opportunity will provide: Experience in a Division 1 NCAA program, CSCS certification prep, and networking opportunities within the field. Qualifications include: A Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field, a current CPR/AED certification, a completed background check, and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach. Tulane: Tulane University Strength and Conditioning, located in New Orleans, Louisiana, is currently seeking applicants for 3 volunteer UNPAID internships for BOTH Football (2) and Olympic Sports (1) for the Summer of 2019. This position will run from May 27 to July 22. Required qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors or masters degree in exercise science or a related field and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coach. Luther College (D-III - IA): Luther College, a NCAA Division III institution located in Decorah, Iowa, seeks a Head Football Performance and Assistant Sports Performance Coach/Director of the Legends Fitness Center. The coach will be responsible for: developing, organizing, and monitoring individualized strength training programs for members of the football team and assist with other intercollegiate athletic teams; organizing and managing individual and team strength data; providing instruction in proper lifting techniques and speed development; leading team strength and conditioning sessions; testing and evaluating physical performance and improvement; and collaborating with athletic training staff to facility injury rehabilitation. The Director of the Legends Fitness Center will create a safe and clean environment, develop facility policies and procedures, and assure equipment is purchased and maintained. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in Exercise Science or related field; at least 1-3 years of relevant experience in strength and conditioning at the collegiate level; C.S.C.S., SCCC, or comparable certification; and experience with strength and conditioning software. Marshall: Marshall University is seeking applications for a part-time assistant strength and conditioning coach to work with Olympic sports. This will start as soon as possible and will run until the end of the spring semester. Compensation is $11.51 an hour for 29 hours a week. Housing is also included. This position will write and implement programs for 3-4 Olympic sports at Marshall and assist with the basketball teams. Additionally, this position will assist the strength and conditioning staff with upkeep of the facilities and help mentor intern coaches. Clemson: Clemson University Basketball Strength & Conditioning is seeking qualified applicants for our volunteer/unpaid summer internship program. This position will work directly with the basketball programs and be afforded the opportunity to observe and assist Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning athletic teams. Interns will gain experience in a highly competitive Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Our fully comprehensive Internship Curriculum will offer many learning opportunities through work assignments, guest speakers, discussions, and hand-ons workshops to help build a solid coaching foundation, as well as future recommendation toward employment. Interns will work directly with the Director of Basketball Strength & Conditioning, Mike Bewley and Assistant Basketball Strength & Conditioning Coach, Kaitlyn Cunningham, in combination with staff members of Clemson Olympic Strength & Conditioning.
