Notre Dame: The Olympic Strength and Conditioning department at The University of Notre Dame is currently accepting student-intern applications for the SUMMER 2019 session. While there is no monetary compensation, interns will gain an invaluable experience while being exposed to all aspects of a Power Five Olympic Strength and Conditioning department through a highly educational and hands-on internship. Summer 2019 Internship Dates: May 28, 2019 – July 26, 2019 Deadline for Consideration: March 1, 2019 Responsibilities include but not limited to: Assist in design and implementation of various sports performance programs for our 25 Olympic varsity athletic teams (non-football); Assist in daily operations of the four Olympic weight rooms on campus; Assist in data collection and implementation through various technology devices; Participate and complete the University of Notre Dame internship curriculum. Qualifications: Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and receiving academic course credit; Candidates must possess or be working towards certification through NSCA, CSCCa or USAW. Miami (FL): University of Miami Strength and Conditioning is seeking highly motivated people to fill the Summer 2019 internship positions working primarily with Football , but will help with some Olympic sports. This internship will start May 15, 2019 thru August 7 2019. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. The candidate must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and MUST be CPR and First Aid certified. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting staff in the design and implementation of strength programs including set up and breakdown of training equipment; as well as assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, and ongoing professional development through the internship curriculum. Preferred Qualifications: Strong work ethic, and highly motivated. Experience working in a Strength or Sports Performance environment; currently hold or working towards a nationally- accredited strength and conditioning certification (USAW, SCCC, CSCS, etc.) PLEASE NOTE: These are non-paid volunteer position.
