West Florida: The University of West Florida is seeking qualified applicants for an assistant strength and conditioning coach position. Duties include, but are not limited to, the design and implementation of sports performance programs for assigned sports, assisting with football, weight room supervision and upkeep, daily communication with sport coaches and athletic trainers, and other duties assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. Candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization with at least 1 year of experience working in strength and conditioning at the NCAA, professional or Olympic level. Candidate is also required to hold a current accredited certification as well as First Aid / CPR / AED certification. Stipend is approximately $23,000, or approximately $18,000.00 with 18 hours of graduate level tuition annually. Towson: Towson University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill Fall 2017 unpaid volunteer internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting while working with all 19 varsity teams. This internship will fulfill course credit if necessary. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in an extensive curriculum that will enhance both scientific and practical knowledge pertaining to the field. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the implementation of strength and conditioning programs, attending to daily maintenance of training facilities, and administrative duties as assigned by strength coaches. Qualified candidates should have a strong desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach and be pursuing a bachelors/masters in exercise science or a related field. Candidates should be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED and be pursuing CSCS or SCCC certifications. Interns will gain hands on experience and the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of strength and conditioning. West Florida: The University of West Florida is seeking to fill a Graduate Assistant strength and conditioning position that will begin in the fall of 2017. Candidates must have a strong desire to be a full time Strength and Conditioning coach. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the design and implementation of sports performance programs for assigned sports, assisting with football, weight room supervision and upkeep, daily communication with sport coaches and athletic trainers, and other duties assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. Required: previous collegiate coaching experience (Internships included), CPR/AED certification, and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field. In order to be considered for the position, the candidate must be admitted into graduate school at UWF. SCCC or CSCS certifications preferred. Compensation includes a tuition waiver and stipend. Consideration will be given to individuals who possess strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with integrity. Central Arkansas: The Strength & Conditioning staff at the University of Central Arkansas is now accepting applications for its 2017 Fall Semester Internship Program. This is an unpaid position that lasts for the duration of the fall semester with a start date of August 24, 2017. No monetary compensation or housing will be provided. However, the position offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength & conditioning, as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program. This internship is also Mentor Approved for those individuals preparing to complete the required hours for the SCCC certification issued by the CSCCa. Candidates interested in this position should be hardworking, passionate, and detail orientated individuals, who have the desire to work in the strength & conditioning field at the collegiate level. Applicants should either be working towards or hold a BA/BS in Exercise Science or a Health Related field. They should be working toward certification as a SCCC through the CSCCa, or a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA. Responsibilities will include: Daily clean up and maintenance of the facility and all its equipment. Setup and break down of weight room and field for all athletic workouts, and supervision of training sessions. This program will also consist of weekly educational projects and reports. Louisiana: University of Louisiana Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Football Strength and Conditioning Coach. The University of Louisiana is a state university in Lafayette, LA, home to 14 NCAA Division I Athletic Programs in the Sun Belt Conference. This is a temporary part-time position for a 1-year appointment with the opportunity to renew. The intended start date is August 1, 2017. The position is subject to a university background check. Responsibilities: Assisting in all aspects of the University of Louisiana Strength and Conditioning department program, design and implementation of sport specific training programs for football as well as assist with various essential department assignments. Candidates past working experiences & strengths will be taken into account in assignment of specific areas. Ability to effectively teach and execute proper technique of lifts and drills; supervision of team training; assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the Athletic Performance Facility & compliance with all appropriate university, Sun Belt Conference, and NCAA Rules/Regulations. Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate area of specialization with at least 1 year of experience in Strength and Conditioning at the NCAA, professional or Olympic level. Warner University: Warner University Strength & Conditioning is currently seeking (2) qualified assistant strength & Conditioning coach candidates for the 2017-2018 school year. The fall strength and conditioning program will run from August 1, 2017 to May 1, 2018. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for football, basketball & various other Olympic sports, on floor coaching of student athletes, teaching student athletes safe and proper Olympic lifts, speed development, plyometrics, speed-strength lifts, and core development exercises, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and professional development throughout the semester. Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach positions will be assigned to lead various sports teams. Compensation is 10,000 for a 10 month contract. Minimum Qualifications: Strong Christian values, Strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm, PASSION for STRENGTH & CONDITIONING!!! Effective communication skills, strong computer skills, and have attained a Bachelor’s degree not limited to but preferably in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology or related field, First Aid, CPR & AED certified, Certified in at least one of the following: SCCC, CSCS and/or USAW.
