Carolina Panthers: The Carolina Panthers Football Organization is currently accepting applications for a paid (1) strength and conditioning internship for the 2017 Off Season program. The Internship will beginMonday, April 10th, 2017 and concludeFriday, June 23rd, 2017. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program. Applicants must have a strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should hold or be working towards certification from any of the following organizations: NSCA, CSSCa, USAW, ACSM, or NASM. Previous coaching experience in a team strength and conditioning setting is required. Knowledge of Tier System Strength Training is highly recommended. The salary for this position is based on a 40 hour work week and the North Carolina State Minimum Wage. Shippensburg (D-II - PA): Shippensburg University is currently seeking ONE qualified volunteer / internship candidate for the summer 2017 semester. This is an unpaid position. The summer strength and conditioning program will run from May 22 to August 5 (dates are flexible). Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program, on floor coaching of student athletes, teaching student athletes safe and proper exercise technique, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and professional development throughout the internship. This internship will provide hands on coaching experience in a collegiate setting, education of program design and application, have the potential to earn future recommendations for career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing or have attained a Bachelor's or Master's degree in exercise science, Kinesiology, exercise physiology, or related field, previous college coaching experience and pursuing or have attained the SCCC, CSCS, USAW, FMS certifications. Individuals chosen for the position are subject to University background checks.
