Rice: The Rice University Football Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER coaches for the summer of 2019. The internship is scheduled to begin Sunday, May 19th, 2019 and will run through Friday, July 26th, 2019. This is an unpaid position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength & conditioning. Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of off-season training, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, as well as participation in an internship curriculum. Interns will also have the opportunity to assist in the design and implementation of various Olympic Sports training programs. Prerequisites include CPR/AED Certification, as well as completion of, or working towards, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Coastal Carolina:Coastal Carolina University is now accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning SUMMER VOLUNTEER INTERN for Football and Olympic sports. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, participation in weekly projects, and professional development throughout the internship program. Intern qualifications include: punctuality; enthusiasm; strong work ethic; and desire to have fun working in strength and conditioning field Preferred qualifications include: senior status or completion of a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field; SCCC, CSCS certification; CPR certification. Interns will receive experience working for a highly competitive Division I University, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Dartmouth: Dartmouth College is seeking three (3) volunteer Strength and Conditioning/Sports Science interns for the 2019 Summer term, starting in June 19 and completing August 24. Applicants will work with 31 sports, including football. This is a curriculum based, experience and education focused, internship program. Selected applicants will gain valuable experience coaching. The internship curriculum aims to develop future leaders in the field of athletic performance by educating interns on: developing relationships with athletes and staff, being a member of a performance team, designing holistic training programs, nutrition for sport performance, sport science, and creating professional documents, among other topics. Dartmouth College competes in NCAA Division 1 athletics as a member of the Ivy League. Qualifications: Must be working toward CSCS or CSCCa certification and exhibit a strong desire to be a strength and conditioning coach.
