Temple: The Temple University Football Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER coaches for the summer of 2019. The internship is scheduled to begin Monday, June 3 rd , 2019 and will run through Friday, August 2 nd , 2019. This is an unpaid position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength & conditioning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of off-season training, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, Catapult data collection, as well as participation in an internship curriculum. Prerequisites include CPR/AED Certification, as well as completion of, or working towards, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Southern Illinois-Carbondale: Southern Illinois University-Carbondale is seeking applicants for 2019 Summer Intern positions. The positions are UNPAID, but offer hands-on coaching experience with all Division-I programs, including Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, and more. Other responsibilities include: set-up and break-down of equipment, facility maintenance, and participation in weekly projects and assignments. Applicants may receive class credit if applicable. Candidates must be of high-character, hard-working, enthusiastic, and possess a bachelor’s degree or in final year of program. Positions start June 3 and end the last week of July. Upper Iowa: Upper Iowa University invites applications for a Graduate Assistant - Strength and Conditioning on the Fayette, IA campus. The Graduate Assistant reports directly to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and will assist the Head Coach with design and implementation of training programs for all Upper Iowa University athletic teams. This is a 10-month position with the opportunity to renew for a second year, which is subject to the individual maintaining a 3.0 GPA and meeting University expectations. Compensation includes a monthly stipend and tuition assistance. Applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and be admitted into a graduate program at Upper Iowa University. CSCS or CSCCA and CPR/AED certifications required.
