Southeast Missouri State: SEMO Sports Performance is looking for multiple interns for the fall (AUGUST) of 2019 to work towards earning 1 GA position in the spring of 2020 working primarily with the football program. Wagner: Wagner College, a Division I member of the NEC, is currently seeking 2 Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning [S&C] Coaches. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Serve as S&C Coordinator to assigned sports [yet to be determined], assist with the implementation of the annual Football training program, properly demonstrate all movements and drills associated with S&C program, thoroughly communicate with Sport Coaches and Sports Medicine Staff regarding injuries and progress, participate in the daily upkeep of the S&C facility. Requirements include: the desire to become a full time S&C professional, a Bachelor’s Degree in related field, experience coaching athletes in a team setting (preferably at the college level), proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point, strong communication & organizational skills. Certifications through NSCA (CSCS) or CSCCa (SCCC) are preferred. Wayne State College (D-II - NE): The Wayne State College Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking a qualified applicant for one Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: design and implementation of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams (2-4 teams); ability to demonstration and instruct lifting techniques; supervise team and individual workouts; assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Qualifications: Must hold a national certification (CSCS or SCCC preferred), ability to be accepted into graduate school, must have or be able to obtain CPR, AED and First Aid certifications; previous strength and conditioning experience in a collegiate setting (preferred); experience in designing and implementing workout programs. Compensation: This 10 month position will start in August 2019 and will have an $8,000 stipend, full tuition will be covered for up to 9 credit hours per semester. GA will be responsible for student fees and books. Housing is not provided. This position will be the lead assistant for the department, in addition to leading 2-4 teams, they will get experience assisting with football as well as assisting with administrative tasks.
