Bellarmine: Bellarmine University Sports Performance is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Sports Performance Coach for Spring 2021. This position can start immediately, as a coach, and transition to graduate school in the spring. Bellarmine University, located in Louisville, KY is an NCAA Division I program that is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Qualified candidates would be primarily responsible for the development, implementation and coaching of programs for assigned sports. Additional responsibilities includeweight room supervision, daily upkeep, maintenance of equipment and any other duties as assigned by the staff. Desired applicants need to be knowledgeable in sport specific training, motivated, and contain great communication skills.This position will receive a $5,000 stipend and receive 6 hours per semester free. This does not include summer. The internship program will run from October 1 st thru December 20 th with a possible extension through the next semester. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Strength and Conditioning Setting. Over the course of the semester interns can expect to work early morning, late afternoon, or weekend hours. As an intern you can expect to assist with all team training sessions. Gain valuable knowledge and experience via, exercise selection/progression/regression, facility management, and professional development assignments. The goal of the internship program is to develop the skills and coaching experience that prepare successful interns for graduate assistant positions at the conclusion of their time in the program.
