Ohio: Ohio University is seeking applications for the Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant Position for 2017-18. Candidates need to be accepted to Ohio University graduate program. Experience with collegiate athletes required. CSCS or SCCC, CPR, AED and First Aid certifications are required and USAW certification is preferred. Football and Swimming/Diving experience preferred. The successful candidate must display the highest of ethical standards. Working knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and procedures is necessary. Rice: The Rice University Strength and Conditioning Department for Football is now accepting applications for two VOLUNTEER interns for the SUMMER of 2017. The internship tentatively begins May 22, 2017 and will approximately end July 23, 2017. This is an unpaid position; however, the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning through earned future recommendation as well as the opportunity to become a seasonal intern for the FALL of 2017, where the intern will participate as one of the five designated strength and conditioning coaches for the football program. The interns that are selected will also accumulate internship hours toward CSCCa Certification under a certified mentor and/or required college internship hours. Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of summer training for the Rice Football team, set up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, as well as participation in a vigorous internship curriculum. Prerequisites include completion of or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, working towards CSCCa or NSCA certification, along with, preferably collegiate athletic playing experience.
