Duke: Duke Football Sports Performance is looking to fill UNPAID intern positions for starting May 24th. The purpose of this internship is to educate future coaches in foundational principles in strength and conditioning, provide hands-on experience in coaching, operating performance technology, and much more. There is no monetary compensation for these positions; however, the positions offer the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program, payment for a certification with a recognized governing body (CSCS, CSCCa, USAW), as well as the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. Preferred qualifications include: actively pursuing or obtained a degree in an Exercise Science related degree, working towards a certification with a recognized governing body, and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic lifting and Powerlifting movements. Potential candidates must possess a strong work ethic and character, great energy and enthusiasm, in addition to the ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Interested Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and three references to Austin Kaigler, Assistant Football Sports Performance Coach, at austin.kaigler@duke.edu .

Lamar (FCS - TX): Lamar University Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Internship positions for the Summer of 2021. The internship will begin May 28 and end August 5. Qualified candidates will work directly with Football along with various Olympic sport teams as assigned. Our main goal is education through experience. This includes daily coaching opportunities, opportunities to lead small team sessions, continuing education, a comprehensive internship curriculum, expansion of network connections, and daily weight room maintenance. While working with all Division-I athletic programs, interns will gain practical coaching experience in accordance with the philosophy of the department and can begin to lay the groundwork for future opportunities, with a consideration for future employment recommendations. Qualifications: strong work ethic, attention to detail, enthusiasm, effective communication skills, positive energy, willingness to learn, Bachelors’ degree/degree in progress (Internship may be completed for class credit), hold or pursuing a SCCC, CSCS, or USAW certification. Jacksonville State: Jacksonville State University Strength & Conditioning searching for qualified individuals to fill two Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach positions. These positions are expected to start July, 2021.The ideal candidate(s) should be seeking a career as a strength and conditioning coach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Programming and implementation of assigned sports from Head Strength Coach. Helping in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs while creating a positive training environment for all 16 Varsity Sports. Hands on experience assisting with the daily operations of the weight room. Develop an understanding of the health, safety, and wellness of collegiate student- athletes. Completing the educational curriculum. Use of technology/data analysis and professional development throughout the program. -Facility/equipment maintenance Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field required. Pursuing Master’s Degree in exercise science or related field of study to qualify. Preferred certified or actively pursuing SCCC/CSCS/USAW - First Aid/CPR Certified. A desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Strong work ethic with a great sense of urgency and attention to detail For consideration: candidates should email three videos.
