Clemson: The Clemson Football Applied Science Department is seeking a paid Applied Science intern for the football program. The Applied Science Department collects and analyzes human performance data alongside recovery data to promote a holistic approach to student athlete development. This position will assist the Director of Applied Science in managing student athlete recovery, data collection, data analysis, and data visualization. This intern will be responsible for scheduling athlete recovery, maintaining recovery and data collection equipment, collecting athlete performance data both on the field and in the lab, and additional tasks as needed. Applicants should have at least a BS in exercise science, exercise physiology, kinesiology, mechanical engineering, data science, biomedical engineering, or a related field. Applicants should be proficient in time management, interpersonal communication, biomechanical analysis, and semi-autonomous task completion. Preferred applicants should have experience in data science, data visualization, physical therapy, and/or massage therapy. Penn State: The Pennsylvania State University is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill a spring 2019 VOLUNTARY-UNPAID internship working primarily with football. This position will start in January 2019 and can run anywhere from May to December 2019, depending on performance. Individuals chosen will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I program, as well as future recommendation for employment. Responsibilities: Will include but are not limited to daily operation/maintenance of the weight room, daily operations of fueling station, record keeping, and assisting with any sport science initiatives. Qualifications: Candidates will be certified or actively pursuing certification from CSCCA and/or NSCA. CSCCA mentorship program will be available for candidates seeking to obtain the SCCC certification. Interns must be able to work a variety of times including days, nights, and weekends if necessary. Winthrop: The Winthrop University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant (GA). Winthrop University is a NCAA Division I University, located in Rock Hill, SC. This position provides a tuition grant, as well as, a $3500 stipend per semester (fall & spring). You must be accepted into the Winthrop Graduate School prior to employment. The position is subject to a Winthrop University background check. Intended start date is Aug 19th, 2019.
