UTSA: The University of Texas at San Antonio Football Strength and Conditioning program is now accepting applications for Summer 2019 intern candidates. This is a volunteer unpaid position that will be responsible for assisting the UTSA Football Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the Football Summer program. Our intern development program will give you a hands-on experience training Division 1 college football athletes and the tools for future professional opportunities. Required qualifications include: completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Other preferred qualifications include a strength and conditioning certification from an accredited organization, previous coaching experience, personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport, and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. There is no monetary compensation so if this position is not an economically feasible option for you, please do not apply. Official start date will be May 27, 2019 and continue through July 24, 2019 with an opportunity to continue through Fall camp pending performance evaluation. Lindenwood: The Lindenwood University Athletic Performance Department is looking to fill 2 Athletic Performance intern coaching positions for the Summer of 2019. Positions require a minimum 10-week, 30-hour per week commitment. These positions are unpaid, but offer experience, education, and an opportunity to fulfill course credits. The purpose of the internship program is to help educate and develop aspiring athletic performance coaches in all aspects of sport performance development. Preferred candidates should be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in or related to Exercise Science. Selected candidates will begin May 21st, 2019. The Citadel: The Citadel is currently accepting applications for two VOLUNTEER Strength & Conditioning (S&C) interns for Summer 2019. The internship will last from May 28 – July 26. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Division 1 S&C environment under the guidance of an approved CSCCa mentor. Minimum requirements include CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications; an unwavering work ethic, a desire to become an industry professional, the ability to adjust to a demanding work schedule, and effective communication and leadership skills in a group setting. Other preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body (NSCA, ACSM, USAW, CSCCa, etc.), previous intern or coaching experience, personal involvement in a competitive sport, and proficiency with computer productivity applications. Responsibilities will include assisting with team training sessions, daily, weekly, and semester long professional development assignments, facility maintenance, and other tasks as designated by the S&C staff. Northern Illinois: Ryan Napoli, who spent the past two seasons as the strength coach at Southeastern Missouri, has been hired as the director of sports performance.

Coastal Carolina: Chad Scott has been hired as the director of strength, speed and conditioning.
