Baylor: Assistant strength coach Brandon Washington is no longer with the program.

Shorter (D-II - GA): Shorter University Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant Location: Rome campus. Shorter University, a NCAA II institution which competes in the Gulf South Conference, invites applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant Coach (1). Shorter University sponsors twenty-one sports with over 500 student/athletes in the various programs. Candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. The program is designed to provide each participant with a holistic and valuable practical experience in the field of Strength and Conditioning. GAs get 18 hours a year of free tuition. The placement will involve a number of the following duties & responsibilities: Assist Director of Strength & Conditioning in all aspects of training for the 21 Div. II varsity sports, attend weekly training seminar on teaching correct techniques for appropriate workout regimens, teach athletes proper technique and perform diagnostic biomechanical analysis of an athlete’s movement, assist with supervision of the weight-room (equipment maintenance and cleaning, exercise supervision, safety issues etc.), program design & responsibility for 3 - 5 assigned sports teams, assist with the input of test data, research, and testing, and discussion of professionalism, budgets, weight room safety and set-up. Qualifications: Potential candidates must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. All candidates must be enrolled for the 2017 Fall Semester and maintain satisfactory progress towards degree completion to maintain the position. Undergraduate degree in related strength and conditioning field. 1 – 2 years coaching experience, in the weight room, is preferred. Hold, or be working towards, a Strength and Conditioning Certification from one of the following organizations: NSCA – CSCS, USAW, CSCCa, and must be up to date on CPR/AED certification. San Jose State: San Jose State is looking for a graduate assistant athletic performance coach to work with the football program. Salary for this position is a monthly stipend. The capable candidates will have the opportunity to advance their competence while gaining valuable knowledge and experience in the field of Athletic Performance at a Division 1A institution. Responsibilities for the positions are: assist with a Mountain West Football Strength and Conditioning program, design and implement strength program for assigned Olympic teams, help with various operational duties, as well as other duties assigned by the Head Athletic Performance Coach. Applicants should have completed a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field and working towards CSCS or SCCC. Kennesaw State: Kennesaw State Football Strength & Conditioning is seeking highly motivated individuals for our Summer Internship Program. This is an UNPAID position. Interns in this program will gain practical experience working with a Division I football program. Responsibilities include assisting with team training sessions on the field and in the weightroom, facility set up and breakdown, facility maintenance, participation in daily, weekly and semester long professional development projects. Kentucky: The University of Kentucky's Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning department is seeking volunteer interns for the Summer 2017. Interns will have the opportunity to work with all the Olympic sports at the University of Kentucky. Volunteer interns may have the opportunity to earn a paid intern position come the Fall 2017. Colorado: Per sources, Terrance Motley has joined the football strength staff at Colorado.

Elon: Elon University Strength and Conditioning is looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for the Spring 2017 semester. The internship will begin in February 2017 and run through May 2017. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Elon University’s 16 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties. This is an unpaid internship. However, candidates will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, college credit towards graduation if applicable and be involved in the CSCCa mentorship program necessary to achieve the SCCC certification. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. Experience in a Strength and Conditioning Program or have previous collegiate athletics experience is preferred. Having a background in performing and coaching Olympic lifts is preferred. Embry-Riddle (D-II - FL): Embry-Riddle University is looking for a PAID INTERN Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position will start immediately and end early May. All applicants must be highly motivated, with a strong work ethic, and wish to pursue a career in Strength and Conditioning.
