Boston College: Boston College is seeking candidates for the Summer 2020 Football Strength and Conditioning Internship Program. Qualified candidates will have an opportunity to work with the Football Strength and Conditioning staff. Required qualifications: current CPR / AED; completion or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field. Other preferred qualifications include certification(s) from CSCCa and NSCA, previous coaching experience(s), experience in collegiate sports, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This is an unpaid 3-month internship. If this is not an economically feasible option, please do not apply. Youngstown State: The Youngstown State University Football and Olympic Strength and Conditioning Staff is currently seeking 1-2 highly motivated intern candidates for the Spring of 2020. BEGINNING IMMEDIATELY. The successful candidate will be both hard working and posses a willingness to learn. While the position is UNPAID, the candidate will be compensated through hands on experience at the Division I level with both Football and Olympic sports. Interns will have the ability to apply internship hours towards undergraduate and graduate programs. The candidates will also have an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in both on the floor coaching, and programing. Candidates have an opportunity to earn professional recommendations for future ventures. The start date for these positions will be January 2020 and the candidate will have time for work opportunities outside of the internship. Requirements: candidate must be CPR/AED certified; completed or currently enrolled in degree in exercise science or a related field; and currently holding or working towards a professional certification such as the NSCA CSCS; or CSCCa. Ole Miss: University of Mississippi Football Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for Spring 2020. The duration of the internship is JAN 22th – May 1st, with the opportunity to stay longer. Qualified candidates would get hands on experience with one of the most storied FBS / SEC Football Programs. This is an UNPAID position. However, the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning, as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards your degree. This position would assist in the implementation of our program, set up and break down of all workouts and maintenance and upkeep of our weight room. Required qualifications include having or working towards degree, a relentless work ethic, attention to detail and a desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized strength and conditioning association (USAW, CSCS, CSCCa), previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. These are positions for the SPRING 2020 training session, with the opportunity to stay longer. Qualified candidates would work with all facets of a NCAA Division 1 FBS FOOTBALL athletic performance program. This is an UNPAID position. However, the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning, as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program. The position is responsible for assisting FOOTBALL athletic performance staff with the implementation of the program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands-on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body (USAW, CSCS, CSCCa), previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements.
