Rice: The Rice University Football Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER coaches for the Summer 2018. The internship is scheduled to begin Friday, May 25th and will run through Saturday, August 18th with the opportunity to earn a position on staff as one of the five designated strength & conditioning coaches for the 2018 season. This is an unpaid position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable, professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength & conditioning. Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of summer training for the Rice Football team, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, as well as participation in a vigorous internship curriculum. Prerequisites include CPR/AED Certification, as well as completion of, or working towards a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Interested candidates should email a cover letter, resume, and three references to Stephen Whitlock at by Friday, March 9th 2018. Rice University requires selected candidates to partake in a background check prior to participation in the internship.
