Rutgers: Rutgers Olympic Strength and Conditioning department is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill 3 paid internship positions the Fall 2017 semester. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience working in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. It may fulfill course credit if necessary. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, daily maintenance of the training facilities, and professional development assignments throughout internship curriculum. Qualification: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach. Prefer SCCC or CSCS certfication(s). Compensation contingent on experience. Rutgers: Rutgers University is in need of volunteer interns to assist with the Football Strength and Conditioning Program. The positions begin immediately and will run until the first week of January. The duties include the set up/break down of lifts, maintenance of the training facility and assisting with the implementation of performance training for D-1 football athletes. UMass: The University of Massachusetts-Amherst is currently accepting applications for the FALL 2017 volunteer internship positions. These are positions for the FALL 2017 training session, July 31st – December 1st, with the opportunity to stay longer. Qualified candidates would work with all facets of a NCAA Division 1 FBS football strength and conditioning program. This is an UNPAID position. However the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning, as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program. The position is responsible for assisting football strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of the summer program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands-on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body (USAW, CSCS, CSCCa), previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. Yale: The Yale Football Sports Performance Staff is looking for qualified and hardworking Fall 2017 interns with a strong passion for College Football and Sport Performance to work with the Yale Football Team and in the Varsity Weight-Room. These positions are unpaid, but provide valuable experience, and will begin the first week of August. Preferred candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in or related to the field of Exercise Science. This is an NSCA accredited internship site, thus, candidates must possess a certification or membership through the NSCA, or must be doing the internship for college class credit. Upon completion of the internship, the NSCA will award 2.0 CEUs to each candidate. Tarleton State (D-II - TX): The Tarleton State University Athletic Performance Program is accepting internship applications for the Fall 2017 semester, with a starting date on or before August 15, 2017 and an end date of December 15. 2017, with the possibility of continuing into the Spring 2018 semester. The internship hours may be countable toward the CSCCa’s Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified practicum requirements, and/or for college credit if needed. The volunteer internship will involve active experience in an NCAA Division II Athletic Performance program under the supervision of Master Strength and Conditioning Coach Rod Cole and his staff. Qualifications: Applicants should be pursuing strength and conditioning as a profession and possess, or currently be working on, CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW certification. Compensation: This is an educational internship with no monetary compensation provided. However, opportunities for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning are possible for successful interns, with the opportunity to advance to a paid internship for the right candidates. BC Prievidza Basketball Club (Slovakia): BC Prievidza Basketball Club – Slovakia is looking for a full-time strength coach and director of athletic performance. Develop and direct/coach speed, strength, agility, plyometric and conditioning programs for the BC Prievidza Basketball Club. Instruct/coach athletes in proper nutrition programs. Supervising and demonstrating lifting techniques as well as spotting athletes. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Health, Education, Health & Human Performance or a related field or 3 years related experience. Must be a C.S.C.C. (Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach) Must obtain C.S.C.S (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) through the NSCA, or S.C.C.C. (Strength & Conditioning Collegiate Certified) through the CSCCA or C.S.C.C. (Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach) or related certification Strength and conditioning coach shall be certified and maintain current certification through a nationally accredited strength and conditioning certification program. The term of the contract will be for 10 months, starting August 1 and ending June 1. BC Prievidza Basketball Club is located in Prievidza, Slovakia. The Club is a professional basketball club in the top division of the Slovakian league. The team is coached by American Head Coach Ryan Pannone. The club has played for 4 championships and won 2 in the last 5 seasons. It is one of the best clubs in the league. The team will have 5 American players, 1 Croatian player and 6 Slovakian Players. The Club will provide 1 round trip air fare, housing, 2 meals a day and $700 per month after taxes.
