UConn: The University of Connecticut football strength program seeks to hire two or more interns for Fall 2019. The goal of our program is to provide an encompassing view of collegiate strength and conditioning, including programming, exercise technique and facility upkeep. The internship will include set up and take down of the weight room, daily cleaning and maintenance, completion of a comprehensive educational curriculum, hands on experience, and any other duties as assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. Potential candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character and demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Qualifications: In pursuit of or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree in an exercise science related field. Experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting, as a coach or athlete. Candidates must be CPR/AED certified and possess or are currently working towards certification through the USAW, NSCA, or CSCCa. Compensation: This is an unpaid position with no housing or meal assistance. Internship credit hours may be obtained. Internship Term: September 1, 2019 through November 30, 2019. Georgia Tech: Georgia Tech Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for 2-4 interns for the Fall Semester of 2019 to work Olympic sports (Baseball, Softball, Swim and Dive, Golf, Track and Field) as well as Football. This is an UNPAID position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as assisting with the daily implementation of off-season or in-season training for assigned sports, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection and participation in an internship curriculum. There is an opportunity for the position to become a paid internship.
