Florida State: Florida State Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for interns for FALL 2018. This is a volunteer, UNPAID, position and offers Division I experience and training in an educational environment and the opportunity for future recommendations or opportunities in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include: assist the Football Strength and Conditioning staff in the training of the Florida State University’s Division I football program; assist with daily administrative and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout; spotting athletes; and participate in weekly projects and assignments for the duration of the internship. Minimum Qualifications: must have a strong work-ethic, enthusiasm and a desire to develop the characteristics necessary to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification. Coastal Carolina: Coastal Carolina University is now accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning FALL VOLUNTEER INTERN. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, participation in weekly projects, and professional development throughout the internship program. Intern qualifications include: punctuality; enthusiasm; strong work ethic; and strong communication skills Preferred qualifications include: senior status or completion of a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field; SCCC, CSCS certification; CPR certification. Temple: The Temple University Football Strength and Conditioning Staff is looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for Fall 2018. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Temple University’s football program, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties and other duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is an unpaid internship. However, candidates will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, college credit towards graduation if applicable and will be involved in the CSCCa mentorship program necessary to achieve the SCCC certification. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. Experience in a Strength and Conditioning Program or having previous collegiate athletics experience is preferred. Having a background in performing and coaching Olympic lifts is preferred. Louisville: The University of Louisville Football Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Internship program is currently accepting applications for the 2018 Fall Semester. The internship will run from Aug 2nd– Dec 11th, and you will report Aug 1st. These internships are unpaid and non-coaching positions. Prerequisites: The candidate must be pursing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and be CPR and First Aid certified. Candidates must be considering, pursing or possess a certification through the CSCCa and/or NSCA. Those accepted will assist in the day to day operations of the facility, including: cleaning and maintenance duties, set-up and break-down of equipment for all workouts, data collection, organizing nutrition/fueling station and assist with GPS catapult systems. The internship program consists of mock interviews, presentations to the staff, weekly topics and bi-weekly evaluations. FAU: Florida Atlantic University Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. This is a 12-month full time appointment with salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience. The intended start date is August 2018. The position is subject to a university background check & application through FAU HR page. Responsibilities: Assist in all aspects of the FAU Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning program, design and implementation of sport specific training programs for Baseball & 2-3 additional sports teams. Kentucky: The University of Kentucky Football Performance Staff is currently seeking Strength and Conditioning Interns for the Fall Semester of 2018. These Intern positions will start on August 6th , 2018 . Individuals will assist with “FOOTBALL” only. Preferred applicants must be highly motivated, possess a tremendous work ethic, and be interested in becoming a Strength and Conditioning/Performance Coach. Wyoming: University of Wyoming Football Strength & Conditioning is currently seeking volunteers for an UNPAID internship to contribute to the program for Fall 2018. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training sessions for football in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that offers valuable knowledge and hands on experience assisting the full-time coaching staff in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program. Villanova: Villanova University, is seeking qualified applicants for (2-4) Interns / Volunteer Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach with Villanova University Athletics for the 2017-2018 season. This is a 9 month, volunteer position that will begin in August and end in May (semester internships also available). There may be opportunities to make income through camps, and clinics. Internships are currently available for the 2018-2019 school year for graduate students or graduating seniors. The Intern / Volunteer Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist the strength and conditioning staff in implementing and supervising all Olympic sports. Position Responsibilities: Interns are expected to stay for the entire duration of the internships unless other arrangements have been made. Saint Louis: Saint Louis University Sports Performance is currently accepting applications for volunteer interns for fall 2018. Saint Louis University is an NCAA Division I program that is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, assisting the Director of Sports Performance and staff with the implementation of sport specific speed, agility, and conditioning programs. Additional responsibilities include weight room supervision, instruction, daily upkeep, and maintenance of equipment and any other duties as assigned by the staff. Desired applicants shall be working towards completion of degree, require fieldwork experience to fulfill credit hours, and working towards the CSCS and/or SCCC certification. This is an unpaid position, however, education on programming, on the floor coaching, and daily operations will be a cornerstone of the internship. Montana State: Montana State University is seeking qualified Sports Performance interns for the Fall of 2018. The internship will begin August 27th and will continue through December 14th  , dates are negotiable. This is an unpaid position, however applicants will gain experience working with football and Olympic Sports. Successful applicants may also receive academic credits if applicable. Responsibilities will be assigned based on prior knowledge and experience by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Candidates will assist with set up and breakdown, team lifts, daily facility maintenance and upkeep, and complete assignments for professional development. Allen University: The Allen University Strength & Conditioning Department is actively seeking applicants for 3-5 UNPAID internship positions working with 9 sports, including football, within our program for the 2018 Fall semester. Deadline for application is July 13, 2018. Interviews will be conducted from July 16th-July 18th. This position will begin July 29, 2018and conclude at the end of the Fall Semester. Internship responsibilities will include many duties within the Allen University Strength & Conditioning Department. Hours will vary throughout the semester and may include early morning, late afternoon, evenings, or weekend hours. As an intern in our program, you will have the chance to join a network of coaches who are committed to building the program at Allen University. Our mission is helping our athletes achieve their full potential in the weight room, during play, and in the classroom. Interns in our program will gain valuable knowledge and hands on experience in areas such as program design, exercise instruction, plyometric, speed and agility techniques, conditioning, facility, and athlete management. They will sit in on meetings with sport coaches and learn the administrative side of strength and conditioning. It is our goal to equip our interns with the skills needed to achieve a graduate assistant position or full-time position when.
