Minnesota Vikings: Strength coach Brent Salazar has left the club after one season to join the U.S. Tennis Association.

Waldorf (NAIA - IA): Waldorf University is now accepting applications for a Fall semester Strength and Conditioning Internship. Position includes working with all 15 varsity sports on campus. Program design and implementation under direction of the director. Free campus housing and $150 meal campus dinning credit. Please email all applications to Jason.laube@waldorf.edu.

The Citadel (FCS - SC): The Citadel is currently accepting applications for two VOLUNTEER Strength & Conditioning (S&C) internship positions. The internship will last from August 23 – December 8. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Division I S&C environment under the guidance of an approved CSCCa mentor. Minimum requirements include CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications; an unwavering work ethic, a desire to become an industry professional, the ability to adjust to a demanding work schedule, and effective communication and leadership skills in a group setting. Other preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body (NSCA, ACSM, USAW, CSCCa, etc.), previous intern or coaching experience, personal involvement in a competitive sport, and proficiency with computer productivity applications. Responsibilities will include assisting with team training sessions, daily, weekly, and semester long professional development assignments, facility maintenance, and other tasks as designated by the S&C staff. Interested candidates must submit: Cover letter (one page maximum); Resume (one page maximum); Three professional references*; A video (3:00 maximum) answering: Why you coach? Why you coach the way you coach? What it feels like to be coached by you? Define success.*Note: Cover letter, resume, and references must be submitted in ONE PDF file (in that order). Kennesaw State (D-II - GA): Kennesaw State Football is looking for a full time assistant strength & conditioning coach. Position will involve being a COACH, along with the day to day assistance with the S&C department. All interested should send their resume & cover letter to Coach Jim Kiritsy at jkiritsy@kennesaw.edu. Bachelors degree required, masters preferred.

Weber State (FCS - UT): Weber State is accepting applications for Four (4) Strength & Conditioning internship positions for the 2017-2018 Academic year. Internship dates are from July 31 – April 26th. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Division I Strength & Conditioning setting. REQUIREMENTS: CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications; a desire to become an Strength and Conditioning professional, the ability maintain a flexible and demanding schedule, and effective communication and leadership skills in a group setting. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: CSCS, USAW, or SCCC certifications; previous intern or coaching experience, personal involvement in a competitive sport, and proficiency with computer data entry programs. Responsibilities will include assisting with team training sessions, professional development assignments, facility maintenance, and other tasks as designated by the Strength and Conditioning staff. Interested candidates must submit a cover letter, resume and 3 professional references to Derek Rosinski at derekrosinski@weber.edu with the heading “Weber State Strength and Conditioning Internship” on both the document and the email.
