Texas: The University of Texas Basketball Athletic Performance department is looking for qualified interns for the 2019-2020 school year (August 2019 – May 2020). Applicants should possess an educational background in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field. Applicants should also have current CPR/AED certifications, as well as be certified, or strong interest in obtaining the SCCC or CSCS certification. Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to: daily upkeep of facility, nutritional restock and distribution, facilitating the needs of the Basketball programs as delegated. More responsibility will be added as it is earned. Applicants should possess: strong work ethic, attention to detail, Bachelor’s degree or a degree in progress, advanced problem solving skills, and a strong desire to be a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. Preferred applicants will have current certifications, collegiate basketball athletic performance coaching and/or playing experience, and the ability to commit to an entire school year. Compensation: This is a UNPAID/VOLUNTEER position. However, successful completion of this internship can fulfill credit hours towards a program degree, SCCC certification or CSCS certification and all fees associated with these certifications, as well increased opportunities for advancement in the field of sports performance. Minnesota State CTC (JC - MN): Minnesota State CTC is looking for Strength & Conditioning Coach. The bulk of the work will be devoted to football but can have the opportunity to work with other sports. This position has a small stipend and housing. You will be able to look for part-time work outside of football. This position will allow you to create a strength and conditioning program from scratch. Air Force: The United States Air Force Academy Football Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for 2 hard-working VOLUNTEER/INTERNS for the 2019 Summer Program. Qualified candidates will work directly with football beginning preferably June 10 th , 2019 (start date is open for discussion). Interns may have the opportunity to continue their internship through the Fall 2019 football season based on performance and school requirements. We are looking for eager and enthusiastic individuals with a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning at the collegiate level. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the strength staff with COACHING the athletes, the set-up, break down and implementation of all training sessions; daily upkeep and maintenance of weight room equipment; assist with daily administrative tasks and any other duties assigned by the Head of Strength and Conditioning and/or his Assistant Strength staff. Qualified applicants will have obtained or be working towards a degree in Exercise Science or a related field, as well as possess or be working toward their CSCS certification. CPR/AED certification is mandatory and all qualified candidates must be able to pass a background check. Sacred Heart: The Sacred Heart University Strength & Conditioning Staff is looking for qualified interns with an interest in Collegiate Strength & Conditioning to work with all 32 teams during their training sessions this Fall. The bulk of the internship will be devoted to Football. These positions are unpaid, do not include housing or meals, but will provide valuable experience in Collegiate Strength & Conditioning. The internship start date will be August 5thand will go until November 29th. Preferred candidates should possess or be working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in or related to the field of Exercise Science.
