Abilene Christian: Abilene Christian University Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for 2 UNPAID Strength and Conditioning Internship positions. The dates which are somewhat flexible, are May 29th – July 27th. Responsibilities: Interns will assist strength staff with the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for ACU sports teams. In addition, they will help with facility maintenance and aide in the enforcement of weight room policies and procedures. This will be a hands on experience with responsibilities assigned based on previous experience. Qualifications: To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a career as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. Additionally, the applicant must be completing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Exercise Science or any related field. Preference will be given to applicants who have obtained their SCCC, CSCS, USAW, and CPR certifications. They must have a strong work ethic, great energy and enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and great desire to learn about the strength and conditioning profession. Benefits: This position will not receive any monetary compensation, but will receive valuable experience and future recommendation based on performance. College credit hours will be accepted if applicable with your current institution. Notre Dame: The University of Notre Dame (www.nd.edu) Department of Athletics is accepting applications for on-call football interns to begin Summer 2018. This position offers Division I experience and training in an educational environment and the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. It also provides the opportunity to gain exposure on a national NCAA Division I team, while increasing marketability to a future employer. Coastal Carolina: Coastal Carolina University is now accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning SUMMER VOLUNTEER INTERN. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, participation in weekly projects, and professional development throughout the internship program. Kentucky: The University of Kentucky Football Performance Staff is currently seeking Strength and Conditioning Interns for the Summer of 2018. These Intern positions will start on June 1, 2018 . Individuals will assist with “FOOTBALL” only. Preferred applicants must be highly motivated, possess a tremendous work ethic, and be interested in becoming a Strength and Conditioning/Performance Coach. Prairie View A&M: Prairie View A&M University and the Athletics Department invite applicants to apply for the position of Strength and Conditioning Interns. The successful candidates will assist the Strength and Conditioning Coaches. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with overseeing the administration and management of the Strength and Conditioning area of Athletics; assisting with improving the athletes performance; assist with training on injury preventative methods; assist with instructing, assisting on workouts for assigned teams; assist with creating, organizing and instructing workouts for all assigned teams and student athletes; assisting with facilitating performance enhancement, injury preventative, and mental toughness measures for Prairie View A&M University student athletes; assisting with testing procedures for assigned sports; assisting with Strength and Conditioning administrative duties as well as day to day departmental administrative duties; adhering to all established rules and regulations of these governing entities, NCAA, SWAC, TAMIS, PVAMU and the Department of Athletics; assisting on reporting any violations of these rules and regulations that may arise to the proper officials; attending clinics, workshops, and conventions to remain current in knowledge relating to strength and conditioning of athletes in Division I athletic programs; attending NCAA rules and regulations training to remain current and aware of any changes.
