Connecticut: The University of Connecticut Football Strength and Conditioning staff is looking for 3-5 unpaid volunteer interns for the summer of 2020. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated and working towards or already in possession of a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and also be CPR/AED certified. Must possess or be currently working towards certification through the CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW. The internship will include assisting in daily set up and break down of the football weight room, completion of a comprehensive educational curriculum, data collection (Catapult GPS), and any other duties assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. This is an unpaid position and if this will not work financially, please do not apply. The start date for the internship is 6/1/20 and will run through 7/24/20. Southern Miss: The University of Southern Mississippi, a member of Conference USA and NCAA Division I (FBS), invites applicants for the position of Athletics Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant. This is a 9-month, graduate student position that runs from August to May annually. Position includes graduate school tuition and a monthly stipend. This position could work with all sports, with the exception of Football. The University of Southern Mississippi is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action Employer. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field, CPR/AED/First Aid certification, and a certification through CSCCa or NSCA. Memphis: The University of Memphis is seeking candidates for the Summer 2020 Football Strength and Conditioning Internship Program. Qualified candidates will have an opportunity to work will the full-time Strength and Conditioning staff and will participate in an internship curriculum. Preferred qualifications include certification(s) from CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW, previous coaching experience(s), experience in collegiate sports, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This is an UNPAID internship. If this is not an economically feasible option, please do not apply. The program is seeking focused individuals who will embody the Memphis culture and have a strong desire to obtain a career as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, no others need apply. Lambert HS (GA): Lambert High School, a 7A school in Suwannee, Ga., is looking for a Strength Coordinator. Preferably certified CSCS or USAW and has a clear renewable Georgia Physical Education Degree. Would also have defensive assistant coaching duties. Fort Scott (JC - KS): Fort Scott Football seeks qualified applicants for a full time, CSCS Certified Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. Candidates must have an established track record of Character and Athletic development. Along with proven speed and strength program formatting, candidates must show at least three years of S&C experience in either a head or assistant capacity. Candidates must have obtained at minimum an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year institution. The position must work to realize the vision of Fort Scott football and adhere to all program values. The position reports directly to the head football coach. This is a year-round, full-time salaried position. Position provides full benefits including but not limited to health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement, on-campus housing, and a comped meal plan. Fort Scott is a centrally-located, national-recruiting two-year college with advanced-transfer-track degree programs. Fort Scott is a member of the highly competitive KJCCC.
