Webber International: Webber International University, located in Central Florida, is seeking applicants for Graduate Assistant and Intern-Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach position(s). The Graduate Assistant position is a 12-month position which runs over 2-academic years (July 2019 – Feb 2021, including Summer classes). The Intern-Assistant position is a 10-month position (July 2019 – May 2020). Both the Graduate Assistant(s) and Intern-Assistant(s) will be responsible for program design & implementation with their team(s) & other duties as assigned by the Head S&C Coach. In addition to team responsibilities, the GA and I-A will be immersed in a nationally recognized mentorship program and receive 2.0 CEUs (NSCA) upon completion of the position. San Diego: The University of San Diego is accepting applications for 2 VOLUNTEER UNPAID INTERN COACHES to contribute to the Athletic Performance department. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to gain coaching experience assisting the staff in the implementation of comprehensive performance enhancement programs with football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and volleyball as well as other individual from our remaining sports teams. Required qualifications include willingness to learn, assist and contribute, CPR/AED certification and be able to successfully complete a background check. Preferred qualifications include achievement or current pursuit of a Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy or related course of study with the intent of pursuing a career in Athletic Performance as well as achievement or pursuit of a CSCS or SCCC certification. Internship will begin Monday, June 10th 2019, and conclude Friday, August 2nd 2019 (8-weeks). Macalester (D-III - MN): Macalester College, a NCAA Division III member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), Midwest Conference (MWC), and Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) is accepting applications for an Assistant Sports Performance Coach. The position is a part-time position with a time commitment of 23 hours per week for the 2019-20 academic year. Description: This position will assist the Head of Sports Performance and the sports performance staff in developing, implementing, and conducting strength and conditioning programs for all 21-varsity sports. Other duties will include community outreach, teaching WHAM classes, and assisting community members. There is the potential to do personal training with the Macalester Community for additional compensation. Additional responsibilities will include weight room supervision, daily upkeep, and maintenance of equipment, and additional job duties assigned by the Head of Sports Performance. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, sports medicine, physical education, or related field required. Applicants must be certified in CPR/First Aid and have one of the CSCCa-SCCC, NSCA-CSCS, and/or USA-W certifications that are recognized by the NCAA. Here is the link to apply.

Morningside (NAIA - IA): Morningside College Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applicants for an UNPAID internship position for the summer of 2019 working with all programs. This position will have the possibility of continuing through the 2019-2020 academic year with a $6,000 stipend. Internship responsibilities will differ and include various duties with in the Morningside College Strength and Conditioning department. Hours will vary during the summer and will include early mornings and late afternoons. Interns will gain valuable, hands on experience in areas such as program design, speed and agility techniques, conditioning, facility and athlete supervision. Requirements: Completed Bachelor’s degree or in process of receiving it in an Exercise Science related field required and working towards a nationally accredited certification (CSCCa-SCCC/NSCA-CSCS) is preferred but not required. Intern applicants must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified. Must be able to pass a background check. Completion of this internship can fulfill potential credit hours toward a program degree. Must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. Previous weight room, student-athlete, or athletic coaching experience preferred. Louisiana-Lafayette: Ragin' Cajuns Football is looking to hire VOLUNTEER strength and conditioning interns for the 2019 summer semester with a start date of June 3rd. Candidates will receive hands on Division I Intercollegiate experience with an established football program. In addition, candidates can receive college credit towards graduation if applicable and access to continuing education resources, CSCS certification prep, networking opportunities, potential future recommendation for professional advancement and continuing mentorship beyond completion of the internship. Responsibilities: Various duties within the football strength & conditioning department including weight room maintenance/cleaning, workout setups, and other duties assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Hours will vary throughout the semester and may include early mornings, late afternoon, and evenings. Southern Illinois University (Carbondale): Southern Illinois University-Carbondale is seeking applicants for 2019 Summer Intern positions. The positions are UNPAID, but offer hands-on coaching experience with all Division-I programs, including Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, and more. Other responsibilities include: set-up and break-down of equipment, facility maintenance, and participation in weekly projects and assignments. Applicants may receive class credit if applicable. Candidates must be of high-character, hard-working, enthusiastic, and possess a bachelor’s degree or in final year of program. Positions start June 3 and end the last week of July.
