Kentucky: The University of Kentucky is currently seeking applications for UNPAID/VOLUNTEER Strength and Conditioning Interns for the Winter/Spring of 2017. Starting Jan 9th – and ending May7th. The interns will assist with FOOTBALL only. Preferred applicants must be highly motivated, have a tremendous work ethic, and be interested in becoming a Strength/Performance Coach. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the Football Strength and Conditioning Staff in all aspects of program administration. The position requires working directly with student athletes to teach proper lifting technique, assess and document progress of the student athletes during training, and maintain a clean, sanitized weight room. Within UK Strength and Conditioning (Football), you will follow a protocol that allows you to learn how to: learn and teach proper lifting position and technique, research relevant training modalities, develop training programs and manipulate those programs based on time of year, sport-specificity, exercise progression, training age, and available equipment. Please apply only if you are financially able. No compensation (stipend, meals, housing, etc.) will be given. A Nationally accredited certification is preferred but not required. De Anza High School (El Sobrante, CA): De Anza is seeking highly qualified applicants for a Strength and Conditioning/ Physical Education position for the 2017 Spring Semester (January 18 – June 8). De Anza HS is a Red Ribbon School in the East SF Bay area (1400 students). The S&C facility (a Hammer Strength facility) is one of the finest on the high school level. CSCS, SCCC, USAW certification is preferred. Additional coaching positions on campus may also be available.
