East Tennessee State: East Tennessee State University Football Strength & Conditioning is looking for two hard working, enthusiastic volunteer interns who are confident, have a presence and be able to coach Division 1 Football Student-Athletes for the Winter 2017. The two people chosen for this position must be able to start January 13 th 2017 and end May 4 th 2017. This is an UNPAID position, in which the successful candidates can receive academic credit if applicable, experience working with a Division 1 Strength & Conditioning program, and consideration for a recommendation for future employment in the strength and conditioning throughout the country. Millersville: Millersville University is currently seeking qualified volunteer / internship candidates for the spring 2017 semester. This is an unpaid position. The spring strength and conditioning program will run from January 16th until May 12th (dates are flexible). Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program of the football team and potentially other University athletic programs, teaching student athletes safe and proper exercise technique, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and professional development throughout the internship. This internship will provide hands on coaching experience in a collegiate setting, have the potential to earn future recommendations for career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Preferred qualifications include pursuing or have attained a Bachelor's or Master's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology or related field; previous coaching experience in a collegiate setting or competitive collegiate involvement; pursuing or have attained the SCCC, CSCS, USAW, FMS or similar certifications; CPR and AED certified. It is strongly advised that all potential candidates make sure that this internship is economically feasible before applying. Manhattan College: Manhattan College Strength & Conditioning Department is actively seeking applicants to fill our Volunteer Assistant Strength Coach position for the SPRING 2017 semester. The Strength Coach will be responsible for overseeing several assigned NCAA DI teams, under the supervision of the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. The Volunteer Assistant Strength Coach will also assist in implementation with all NCAA teams. He or she will be required to follow and respect all department Policies and Procedures, assist in supervision of all weight room operations, as well as participate in staff training and educational opportunities.
